There was poor planning on the part of Orange County and instead of resolving with the community in mind they exercise thier power to move foreward with no notification to the Home owners to close their front entrance at Mallard Cove Community. The association was notified just a few days ago bit that still is not proper notification no does it give the Community ample time to repute and to come up with solutions for Helath and Wellbeing options. We are entering Hurricanne season and allwe hear is trin trees and secure loose items as we travers through these periods and in a single swoop with no regard they close the front entrance as a form of escape inthis event for a project 2 months...right through this season!!!Orange County contracted for construction Drainage pipes to go through the Roads directly through a large community. While we understand the need regardless if we do or do not get the benifit of this drain pipe, they plan to close entrance of the community for 2 months. Forcing traffic of over 180 homes, School traffic, personal contractors, deliveriesto be rerouted an addition of 1.5 thorough and adding to another equally large community and back through the construction zone. Not only wil this cause huge delays exiting ont a already closed to single lane but traffic back up in and out will be doubly exentisve. This not only cause inconvienince but we have many Homeowners who depend on quick easy emergency care access and exit ability. they need not have to close both entrnaces if they work around a different choice of placement...they just choose not to.
