Tell states to follow California’s lead and stop doing business with Walgreens for refusing to dispense abortion medication

Walgreens recently announced it would not dispense abortion medication in 21 states, after responding to legal pressure from Republican attorneys general in those states – even in some places where abortion remains legal.

Thankfully, California Governor Gavin Newsom responded by ceasing all business with Walgreens "or any company that cowers to the extremists and puts women's lives at risk."

Gov. Newsom is sending a powerful message and we applaud him for it! Now, we need other states to follow suit and stand up to Walgreens and any other companies who put women's lives at risk.

A majority of American patients terminate their pregnancies with pills rather than by undergoing a procedure at a clinic. These pills are safe and reliable. We must fight to ensure they stay that way. Putting pressure on large companies like Walgreens is an important way for us to fight back.
