One Month to Protect Patients and Hospital Staff
Hospitals employ 5.6 million people nationwide—heroes who play a critical role in keeping communities healthy all over America.
But now they're in trouble, and we need to help before it is too late.
Congress is considering cutting billions of dollars in vital hospital care as part of an adjustment to the historically flawed formula by which physicians are paid under Medicare. This is on top of the $122 billion hospitals have been cut since 2010 alone.
The impact on hospital staff and their patients would be significant. Cuts could reduce access to medical technology, lead to longer wait times for services, and cause staff reductions.
We simply cannot afford this. More than 33 million people were admitted to hospitals in 2013. 133 million people sought care in E.Rs. We shouldn't be making it harder for patients to receive care, or for hospital staff to treat them. Tell Congress: No more devastating cuts to hospitals that harm patients and staff.

Enough is enough. Please protect hospitals, hospital staff, and the patients cared for within. Do not include cuts to hospital services as part of the SGR "Doc Fix" deal.
