Demand the British Columbia Government require MCF Social Workers be members in good standing of the BC College of Social Workers

Currently the Social Workers employed by the Ministry of Children and Family Development are not required to be members of the BC College of Social Workers. As such, they are not held to the same standard of other social workers in BC. They can act in unethical ways without being held accountable for their actions and the effect they have on families.

The BC Government should require that Social Workers for the ministry be members of the college in order to force Social Workers to act in an ethical manner.
