The Eagle Ridge Board of Directors has instated an "adult swim" rule at the pool that prohibits children under 18 years of age to enter the pool from 7:30 pm until 9:00pm, seven days a week. Although there is a need to have some time for adult swimming, this policy totally blocks the pool in the evening hours for families. The rule is especially inconvenient for working parents who can not take their children to the pool during the day time and children with sensitivity to the sun who can only enjoy the pool in the evening hours.
By signing this petition, we are asking the Eagle Ridge board of directors to re-evaluate this unfair rule and to implement a more inclusive solution. One option would be to allow a couple of nights per week for children to use the pool in the evening. Another option would be to block the lanes only for adult swimming during the evening hours. A third option would be to conduct adult swim from 7:30pm to 8:00pm only on a daily basis.
Eagle Ridge is a family community and the pool is large. We believe we can come up with a fair solution. Please forward this petition to any families that you believe would be interested in signing.
