Bells Yard Playground Petition

The Bells Yard Children Playground was recently completed to include a football / basketball court. One of the baskets was erected in front of the Connaught Mews building.

Since the work was completed, the Yard has attracted a significant amount of anti-social behaviour. In particular, there has been a large number of balls hitting the building and the windows, thrown deliberately by people using the football area.

Northumbria Police and Newcastle City Council have both been contacted, but, so far, there has been no improvement.

The purpose of this petition is to request that Newcastle City Council remove the football / basketball area and restore Bells Yard to a children's playground only.
