Bigotry in Virginia: Let's End LGBT Discrimination

We will not stand idly by as gay, lesbian and transgendered students and faculty are discriminated against in the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is not with in the scope of the Attorney General's office to issue such statements to Virginia Public Colleges. This discriminatory policy towards lesbian, gay and transgenedered employees and students will only foster fear and in the future a loss of the best and brightest in terms of Virginia's public education facilities. We urge that this policy be quickly rescinded and that a more equality driven policy be put in place so that all people no matter what 'sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression is protected under the full weight of the law.
