The South African government still issue permits for hunting Lions and other predators, and has not acted to outlaw so called 'canned hunting', where captive-bred Lions and predators are shot in enclosed area so they have no chance of escape. Visit http://www.africancats-hounds.co.za/ . Help tell the South African government that hunting should be banned outright, and that all Lions and other predators now living in captivity should be moved to sanctuaries. Your support is cruical.
We the undersigned would like to request the South African government STOP issuing permits for hunting Lions and other predators, and that the South African government should act to outlaw 'canne hunting'. Also all predators living in captivity should be moved to sanctuaries, we the undersigned would rather see these beautiful animals in the wild, not caged or dead.
The Lion population continue to decline in most parts of Africa. The Lion was once the most widespred terrestrial mammal on earth, found across Asia, North and central America, Africa and Europe. America's Lions became extinc around 10.000 years ago, due to increased hunting and decline in avaliable prey. At the end of the last ice Age, the forests that developed in Europe made habitats there less suitable for lions, don;t let this happen to you.
