Humboldt County Petition to Protect the Public from PG&E's Smart Meters

In light of the fact that these wireless devices will increase radiofrequency radiation day and night in every home and business; and in light of the fact that there are no FCC safety standards for chronic long-term exposure to RF; and in light of the call for the Precautionary Principle by consumer advocacy groups statewide, we, the undersigned, request the Board: (1) Impose an immediate one-year moratorium on Smart Meter installations. (2) Support Assembly Bill 37 that would allow PG&E customers to "opt-out" of a wireless Smart Meter, and (3) Request PG&E remove Smart Meters that have already been installed for customers who request this.
