Leeds Needs an Ice Rink!
Having a temporary ice rink is rubbish - it's small, it's overcrowded, it's outside and it's only open a couple of months in the year. Leeds needs a permanent ice rink! Why? Well, it will be all kinds of awesome, that's why! You could dabble in a bit of recreational ice skating, take up figure skating or even try curling! AND it opens the door to, most awesomely, the option of having and following our very own Leeds ice hockey team - talk about community spirit! (Like I said, all kinds of awesome!) We, the undersigned, believe that Leeds City Council should create a permanent ice rink for recreational and sports. Why? Well, it will be all kinds of awesome, that' why!
The ice cube, whilst perfect for recreation use, lacts the facilities to support further professional skating activities and sports. Having an ice rink as a permanent fixture in Leeds would facilitate and support these. You could dabble in a bit of recreational ice skating, take up figure skating or even try ice hockey and curling! AND it opens the door to, most awesomely, the option of having and following our very own Leeds ice hockey team - talk about community spirit!
Bradford has an ice rink - and we think we should too!
