Nazarene Desiring a Return to Solid Biblical Publications of NPH, Barefoot and The House Studio
Over the last several years there has been an increased release of controversial and non holiness publications from the above mentioned publishing arms of the Church of the Nazarene. Books such as 180 and Sacred Life from the Ancient Faith Series. There are many other examples besides these. The bottom line is that NPH AND IT'S RETAIL AND PUBLISHING ARMS SEEM TO BE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT SELLING FAR AND WIDE THAN DEEP AND NARROW. Let's show our general leadership who we are and that we want a return to solid biblical based writings being offered to our youth before it's too late. As a pastor I have already abandoned our general NYI as a whole and feel there must be more Nazarenes out there who SHARE THESE SAME CONSERVATIVE VALUES with me. Sometimes just a simple petition like this can go along way.
Dear Board of General Superintendents ,
I am concerned about the publishing arms of NPH within the Church of the Nazarene. There has been an increased volume of books and literature being published and targeted to our youth that is both alarming and weak on good sound biblical clarity and doctrine. I am in agreement with Rev. Migner that something needs to be done and a better process of approval needs to be considered for the sake of our youth and the holiness message very soon. By signing this I am publically declaring that I desire change soon or I will not be able to trust everything published as I once have.
