Petition in support of banning the possession, sale and consumption of shark fins in Toronto.

We the undersigned urge you to vote yes on a shark fin ban in Toronto.

Every year over 70 million sharks are slaughtered, primarily for soup. Sharks are facing extinction within our lifetime.

If sharks are destroyed, entire marine ecosystems will become imbalanced and the oxygen from the oceans that we depend on for survival will be catastrophically affected.

Saving sharks is saving our own life support system. VOTE YES on the shark fin ban in Toronto.
