Togo: Stop Putting People In Prison For Being Gay

In Togo, a small country located in West Africa, laws are still in place that allow people to be imprisoned for 3 years and fined $1,000 for same-sex sexual activity.

These laws date back over 150 years, before the present nation existed, and are almost never enforced. However, in the name of the human right to not be arbitrarily imprisoned for one's sexual orientation, we demand a decriminalization of homosexuality and an equal age of consent be instituted in Togo.
