The cheerleaders of Collins High School were notified Tuesday 12/3/2013 that they would not be allowed to attend the National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando, FL. The Collins cheerleaders are one of the best teams in the state. They attended the Bluegrass Regional in Lexington, KY and recieved a bid and earned the right to compete in the 2014 NHSCC. On 12/3 the principal of MLCHS decided to deny the trip because it requires the cheerleaders to miss school and includes a Sunday. Several athletic programs within the school have already missed multiple days for athletic trips. Please help their voice be heard and get this unfair judgment against a great cheer team overturned.
