Greenville Children Demand & Deserve Clean Water

The state of Mississippi continues to fail its children. Clean water for our children is NOT a privilege, it is Their Right!!! How can we as parents, grandparents care for and raise healthy young citizens of Greenville, of America, when their very existence is being placed in constant danger!!! The absence of accessible, clean water in Mississippi, let alone Greenville, the Delta, leaves our children and other residents in consistent jeopardy of contracting many illnesses; but right now, let us solely concentrate our concerns towards covid-19!!! If one of the main avenues of combating this pandemic is WASHING OUR HANDS, how can we in Greenville do so if that very Resource Is Tainted??? Honestly, who wants to wash their children's clothes in water that needs to be boiled in order to consume it. . . Okay, if it is not suitable to be in their system; then, doesn't that mean it should NOT BE ON OUR CHILDREN'S SKIN?!?!?!

The City of Greenville has been given grants and raised taxes for the past 5 years (or more) citing a fix to a problem that is getting worse and seemingly being ignored by those in charge!!! Our children of the Greenville Delta, and surrounding areas are ALREADY DEMOGRAPHICALLY DISADVANTAGED by so many factors, I contest that our water supply should not be one of them!!! Help!!!

By signing this petition, my hope, need, want and desire is to make this unjustifiable travesty known worldwide in hopes of shaming and prompting those in charge to not allow another 5 years to go by without correcting this injustice!!! We Don't Need or Want Another 'Michigan state' genocide on our children in this country, neither do we want "too little, too late" apologies due to young lives lost from this inconceivable problem!!!
