Last year and continuing through this year our neighborhood has been plagued by numerous criminal activity. A number of these crimes were committed in broad daylight. I would like for everyone in the neighborhood to try to get to know more of and about our neighbors so we can better look out and protect each other.
It is also the end of summer vacation for our children. What better way to send them back to school than with a block party? Before they get bogged down by school books and exam, we can help them relax and enjoy each other.

In order to receive the permit for street blocking, a petition is required from the neighbors. The plan is to hold the block party on the side of Wilderness Trail Drive beginning from house number 707 through 752. If there are any concerns with that portion of the block being closed off, please contact me and accommodations will try to be made.
This block party is still in the planning stages and is completely dependent upon the participation of everyone in Montclair Park. Remember the purpose of this block party is to promote community togetherness. We all live here and want to keep our neighborhood nice. The more of each other we know, it will be easier to accomplish.
