Stop the Shooting of 10,000 Dogs in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan

Officials in the capital of Kyrgyzstan say that due to budget constraints, they are being forced into killing an extimated 10,000 dogs, rather than build shelters for them.

A spokesperson said that the dogs are being killed in the early morning and in the evening by a team of 10 shooters and dog catchers.

Please let President Roza Otunbayeva, president of Kyrgyzstan know that this action of shooting 10,000 dogs is barbaric and there are other ways to prevent the massive killings.  There are many programs; spay neuter programs and building shelters for the dogs.
