Tell Senate Hopeful Marc Cenedella to Apologize for Sexist Blog Posts

Marc Cenedella, a potential candidate for one of New York's Senate seats, maintained a personal blog that routinely featured sexist entries.

One entry, "A New Holiday for Men," linked to another site that encouraged women to offer oral sex "to show your man how much you care for him." Another entry links to a site that purports to provide biblical justification for a man to have multiple wives.

When the New York Times confronted Cenedella about the blog, neither he nor his staffers would respond to questions about the entries, but the site was quickly removed from the web.

Act now to make it clear that sexism has no place in the U.S. Senate by telling Marc Cenedella to come clean and apologize for his remarks.
We the undersigned urge you to apologize for the sexist entries posted on your personal blog. We call on you, a potential candidate for one of New York's Senate seats, to make it clear that sexism has no place in the United States Senate, by renouncing your written remarks, which demean women.
