Tell Canada to Grant LGBT Activists Visas

10 Ugandan LGBT activists who were invited to the World Pride Human Rights Conference in Toronto will not be able to attend because the Government of Canada is refusing them visas. Canada has recently condemned the anti-gay laws in Uganda, which makes it hypocritical to refuse to grant visas to these activists.

Among the reasons cited for refusing the visa include uncertainty about these individuals having a real business purpose in Canada.  However, having Ugandan LGBT activists speak at the conference is extremely important as it presents a unique perspective from a country where LGBT individuals lack rights.
