FDA Must Not Be Allowed to Make Affordable Breathing Aids UNAVAILABLE to 3 Million U.S. Citizens

The EPA has BANNED a very affordable over the counter medicine - PRIMATENE MIST- that gave instant Emergency relief to 3 Million users with breathing problems. REASON / EXCUSE:The convenient container, that held the liquid which was turned into a mist, created a gas that the FDA said was depleting the Ozone Layer. It was then and still is quite obvious that this was a stretched excuse to eliminate the product from the non-prescription / over the counter drug market. The small bottle which contained PRIMITENE MIST sold for around $19 - $22. The next best alternatives / replacement was Prescription Inhalers that sell for $53 minimum and often do not work. The most advanced Prescription meds, with the Dr. visit included to obtain the prescription, can cost - at a minimum $300 - for a monthly supply.

After PRIMITENE was taken off the market, another product made its debut that - albeit awkward to carry and use - was available as an Emergency Inhaler and was priced reasonably. Much more affordable than various prescription inhalers.
Now the FDA - without warning - has made that manufacturer stop making the EMERGENCY Inhaler while they, the FDA,  determines whether IT should be a prescribed medicine.

In essence, the FDA's actions are a very obvious method to - FORCE - 3 Million people off of legitimate and effective EMERGENCY inhalers on to More expensive prescription inhalers.

Bottom Line / Reason for BOTH actions - improve and ensure Prescription Drug Company Profits.
