We will hopefully see a vaccine arriving for broad distribution by April 2021, which is still many months and a long winter season away. Meanwhile, states across the country have begun shutting down (again) in the face of escalating cases, and hospital beds in the Midwest are filling up or already at capacity.
But while Democrats know pandemic support must be wide-reaching to assist struggling communities, Mitch McConnell is still insisting on a narrow package that doesn't scratch the surface of what this country needs.

Most of the remaining (albeit mediocre) protections we still have are set to expire December 31st. For millions of families who are barely scraping by, this crisis is about to look even worse unless Senate Republicans acknowledge how dire the situation is.
The Senate must face that a lot more Americans are about to die or find themselves homeless as winter sets in, and the losses and pain are on Republican shoulders. We need real relief.
