NO MORE TAX!!! Enough Is Enough!!

The City of Lostine City Council will be voting to be included or not included in the district boundaries for the purposed Library District (you can read at cityoflostine.com ) at the Wednesday 11th 2017 City Council meeting. If City of Lostine decides to be included in the boundaries its citizens are looking at a purposed tax of .65 cents per $1000 of the assesses value of your home. (example ass value $125,000 home would raise property taxes by $81.25)

This is an unnecessary tax. The City libraries are not in danger of closing at least tell the next fiscal year in June 2018 and even then have no guarantee they will close.

Let the libraries implement a library card system, apply for Grants or run fundraisers in order the stay open and leave our Tax alone.
