Ban horse drawn carriages from Old San Juan

Horse drawn carriages are a shameful tourist trap. With all the green transportation options available today, not only have they no place in the 21st century, but they conceal a silent type of cruelty. Carriage horses are forced to pull the weight of the carriage, its driver, and 4-5 occupants with their luggage, every day for 8-9 hours straight. Not only that, but in Old San Juan, they have to climb uphill through cobblestone paved streets (which requires yet more effort) amongst polluting traffic, and in 90+ degree weather! All in the name of tourism? This inhumane practice has no place in the modern world. Help us put an end to this by signing the petition.
