Preserving the Legacy of Miss Georgia Washington for Future Generations!!

As the Montgomery County Public Board of Education has opted to sell Georgia Washington Middle school and the property/land it stands on to the City of Pike Road; it is imperative that this sale not come to fruition. The sale of Georgia Washington Middle to Pike Road will cause great disadvantages to all the current students, those scheduled to enroll in G.W. next school term, their parents and all the faculty/staff that will be relocated and/or simply be fired. Also, this sale would aid the City of Pike Road in expanding its boundaries closer into the City/County of Montgomery thus causing rezoning to occur which inevitably would be detrimental to all the residents of the City of Montgomery and Town of Mt. Meigs.
