Protect Britain's Hedgehogs!

Britain's wildlife is in crisis, with many native species and habitats facing extinction. Drastic changes in the past few decades have wiped out most wildlife meadows and threatened over 70 percent of butterflies, as well as insects and birds. Hedgehog populations have plummeted from 36 million in 1950 to only one million today.

Extreme weather conditions are melting Scottish snow beds, causing flooding and pushing the tree line higher. The lack of clearly defined four seasons confuses the ecosystem so that flowers don't bloom at the right time for their pollinators and animals come out of hibernation at the wrong time of year.

The UK Environment Agency must act to preserve Britain's iconic countryside before it's lost forever! Please sign the petition to urge the government to take action to save hedgehogs and other native species.
