Hawaii: Ban The Use Of Exotic Animals In The Circus!! Enough!!

For several years now the state of Hawaii has been promising to end wild animal act imports, and last year the Hawaii Board of Agriculture approved a proposed rule change to prohibit the import of certain "dangerous wild animal" (elephant, tiger, and bear) acts. Hawaii Governor David Ige has pledged to make the circus ban a reality, but no real legislation has been passed as of yet. What is Hawaii waiting for?

All animals, especially elephants, suffer terribly in the circus industry. They lead lives of sadness, constant fear, and despair. So far Illinois and New York are the only states in the U.S. that have passed legislation to ban the use of elephants in the circus.

Please join me in asking Hawaii governor David Ige to finally ban wild animal act imports, including elephants, tigers, and bears. The state of Hawaii can help to end circus suffering for all exotic animals in the United States!

Hawaii has officially banned the use of exotic animals in the circus! For more news and updates please follow Animal Defenders International on Facebook and Twitter. The Hawaii circus ban is still not a done deal! We still need the governor's signature! Everyone please email Hawaii Governor David Ige directly at governor@iq.hawaii.gov and ask him to sign this measure into law! Your message to the governor can be as simple as this: Please sign Hawaii's circus ban. Animals suffer terrible abuse and torture in the circus industry. Hawaii can lead the way to end circus cruelty. Please sign the circus ban and end animal suffering. Thank you so much for your help!
