Dairy Farm in the Azores - The Unconvenient Truth

Fact: It is Ilegal to seperate a calf from its mother in less than 30 DAYS after birth. The Nature and Animal Police in Portugal admit this is the law, but nobody is doing anything about it! This is obviously not happening in the Azores, where farmer´s seperate calves from their mother´s as soon as they are born! They tie the calves and place them alone in open fields, regardless of extreme weather condions.
