Demand that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service protect North Carolina Red Wolves
Red wolves are extremely endangered with only 50-75 wolves in the wild. There current range is small, involving only 5 counties in North Carolina. Despite their extremely endangered status and lack of aggressive behavior towards humans, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service recently allowed two wolves to be slaughtered for no reason whatsoever.
Carnivores in the Eastern U.S. has been virtually exterminated, leading to rampant deer populations that eat crops and cause motor vehicle fatalities. Red wolves do not pose a threat to humans and yet hunters seem determined to kill the last of these beautiful creatures. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife service is paid by taxpayers to protect these animals, yet they do not seem willing to do this. The majority of Americans overwhelmingly support wildlife maintenance and restoration. Demand that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service do its job and protect these animals.
Dear U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service:
We, the American people, ask that you do more to protect Red Wolves. We are disturbed by the fact that you have allowed two, unaggressive animals to be killed for seemingly no reason. Your job is to protect native species and their ecosystem. Killing of this highly endangered species is despicable and all efforts should be focused on helping this wolf reestablish a healthy population.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has not responded to our petition that was delivered to them almost 2 months ago. We will send it again and ask them to protect our Red Wolves!
