Save the Lemurs

Since the military take over in March 2009 in Madagascar, hundreds of Lemurs have been killed and exported to mainland Africa as game meat and their furs are also sold.

There environment is also been destroyed by extensive logging.

The new Government appear to be out to make as much money as possible in this inhumane way.

The Lemurs were already struggling for survival.

I call upon the World Wildlife Fund to put pressure on this new Government and gain support from other governments to stop this massacre of the Lemur population.
Long term the ordinary people of Madagascar will receive no benefit from this trade, in fact they will be the big loses, as tourist will no longer visit their country to see the rare and exotic wildlife.
Please support this petition , as time is running out for the Lemurs.
