Starting at the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year, students have been forced to give up their hoodies because of previous incidents with students not wearing the appropriate uniform under them. But not everyone broke the dress code and actually followed the rules. I feel like the revoking of the privilege to wear hoodies is unfair to the students who conformed with the dress code. Furthermore, we are entering the Fall/Winter seasons. We will most likely encounter freezing rain/wind and possibly snow for the remainder of the semester and not a lot of students have the resources to get new jackets. So I am proposing a compromise. If I can get 100 signatures to agree students can wear their jackets, whether they be hoodies, coats, pullovers etc, for the rest of the 1st semester and that if anyone fails to comply with wearing the required uniform under those jackets, those students will be documented and no longer be able to wear their hoodies for the remainder of the year.
