House Republicans have just unveiled their latest budget proposal, and it is a disaster for the American people. Alll of us who don't make $600k+ a year, that is.
To pay for their enormous tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans — the top 20% of income gets 68% of the benefits from the House Republican tax bill — the GOP wants to cut $715 billion from Medicaid, which would cut a staggering 8.6 million Americans off their health insurance, according to the CBO.

As if that wasn't bad enough, the bill would increase eligibility checks and impose work requirements for Medicaid recipients, forcing them to endure needless paperwork and burdening America's most vulnerable people.
Even some Republicans are horrified at what their party wants to do to working families. "This wing of the party wants Republicans to build our big, beautiful bill around slashing health insurance for the working poor. But that argument is both morally wrong and politically suicidal," said Sen. Josh Hawley.
We cannot allow this monstrosity to become law. Call your Congressperson and demand they vote NO!
