Not all Pitbulls are vicious killer fighting dogs that attack anything whether its animal or humans. This all depends on how the puppies are treated as they grow up. Those that are loved and raised by a person that is knowledgeable about the breed are not mean and vicious killers. Some are raised fighting or being bait for fighting, learning to be vicious. Some of these dogs can go through rehabilitation and go into loving forever homes. Some can't that is understandable but this doesn't mean euthanize them all of them.
Yet there are cities and counties in Texas that euthanize all pitbulls or dogs that are pitbull mixes. They euthanize everything from puppies to adults not caring if they are fighting dogs or gentle family pets. They have done this many times over the years with many different breeds of dogs. But with these they are calling the whole breed and mixed breeds of these dogs killers and say they must be euthanized upon arrival of the animals.
Stop mass euthanizaion and attempt rehabilitation. Some don't need to be rehabilitized they are sweet gentle dogs. But they aren't checked to find out. Try to rehabilitate before euthanasia!!
