Governor Kemp: Allow Georgia Cities to Mandate Masks

Wearing a mask in public is one of the best ways to slow the transmission of the Coronavirus that causes COVID-19. Requiring people to wear masks is not a violation of civil rights, but a practical measure to save lives. There is a big difference between oppression and temporary inconvenience.

The countries that have "flattened the curve" by reducing COVID-19 infection rates did so by taking measures such as mandating masks. By trying to strike down local orders to wear masks, you are putting thousands of lives at risk. End your lawsuit against Atlanta, and your ludicrous executive order that prohibits mask-wearing requirements. Do the right thing for Georgia and its citizens.
