Put a STOP to bicycle/motor accidents and deaths

When parents let their children drive their cars a familiar phrase you hear them say is "be sure to keep your eyes on the roads & watch out for cars". Neglecting the fact that bicyclist are also on the road & should as well as cars be on the look out. The number of bike/motor accidents are increasing every year by the tens of thousands, each state is taking heavy losses because of this issue. The only people who are gaining from this is lawyers, with their mandatory fees required form their clients who have been in these types of accidents. Help me with my small start & sign my petition to have the roads in San Marcos, Texas (the fastest growing city on the United States, look it up) redone before it's too late. Since San Marcos is a college town home of the Texas State Bobcats their is heavy traffic at multiple times of the day. Currently there are train tracks running directly through the most popular road in San Marcos. My reason for creating this petition was to prevent to huge delay in having appropriate bike lanes here. Yes, the roads are already under construction, but they're for alternative reasons. I fear that the construction will be done & the bike lanes won't be at an appropriate width for bicyclist & cars to truly safely share the road. Help me prevent injuries & deaths my signing this petition if you agree or think this is a real issue that shouldn't be ignored.
