The tragedy concerning the victims of James Connor while employed by the Melrose YMCA is a wound in our community that will never heal until those responsible for looking the other way are fired for their negligence.
As a community that has supported the YMCA we wish for our faith to be restored in an organization that has been a part of many of our lives and our children%u2019s lives. This faith can and will be restored only by an act of courage. You are professionals, business folks, politicians and members of our community as well and as board members you have a fiduciary duty to the organization you serve and by extension to the people of Melrose.
The citizens of Melrose demand that this board accept the resignation of Richard Whitworth, President of the Melrose YMCA and force Nancy Madden, Vice President of the Melrose YMCA to tender her resignation effective immediately.
