Stop supporting maestro Harrell due to sexiest and chauvinistic tweets

It is slowly becoming a reoccurring trend for Maestro Harrell to post sexiest tweets on his twitter. This is a popular topic between a large group of people i know - both friends and people in the industry. Myself, and others find his tweets of cultural critique to be misogynistic, which I am beginning to take an offence to, as I take gender equality very seriously, for example a tweet posted on the 13th of April 2016,

“the amount of females Djs who release music and aren’t good is getting out of hand……taking up a spot for someone who actually deserves it”

Today, this is an important global issue. Women are still suffering from varying injustices, and tweets like these serve to undermine the work been done by human right advocates. A lot of men and women work very hard to undermine culture elements, that degrade other human beings. Is this someone you want your brand to be associated with?

Other tweets such as;

“too all my bitches who have over 100K follower and don't own an apartment”

“bitches be having perfect nails and cracked iPhone screens, goofy AF (as fuck), some people have real problems.”

“where are the hoes at?”

He seems to have a vendetta specifically against women, and these tweets are an example of the way in which he solely targets women. There is a representation of women within main stream hip hop and rap, which relies on women being reduced to “bitches” and “hoes.” This is itself problematic, however, i feel it is inappropriate to bring such sentiments into the Big Room Genre.

Not only this but there have been accusations that he manipulates and steals the intellectual properties of other artists. By signing this partition we will not be supporting any film or songs associated with the name maestro Harrell
