STOP THE CRUEL PRACTISE OF HEAD LIFTING. RETIRE OLD TUSKER MANGALAMKUNNU KARNAN

In this video you can see the more than 70 years old Elephant, Karnan, being brutally beaten by his mahout (February 2017) Despite his age he is still being paraded in Temples and Forceful Head lifting competitions. For the upcoming season he will do the same thing. Karnan fans never avoid his presence in Headlifting competitions because there are many fans for him.
This is daily happening with all the temple elephants of Kerala. They must parade for temples, churches and mosques. Mahouts, priests and temple authorities are all hand in glove . These poor elephants are their money making mascots and they are tortured without end up to the extent of blinding them purposely.
Kerala temples are hell hole for these elephants and hundreds have died because of massive torture, injury, beatings, lack of proper medical care and starvation. Temples no longer are spiritual or holy places when torture is being practiced and elephants are suffering in the name of Dharma.
We want the Kerala government to retire the old tusker Mangalamkunnu Karnan from these parading, He is in need of rest for the next years he may live. No more beatings for this poor soul:
