The trees of Etheridge Lakes are under attack. Dominion Power has tagged dozens of trees on our street for removal within the next three weeks. I will hight light the addrresses 1508 & 1512 Clearwater Lane. Within those two yards, there will be 22 trees removed! The response from a Dominion Power representative was, "We have a legal document that says we can take these trees out, so we will." He stated that if the trees "could ever need to be trimmed" that they are to be removed. I would be on board if these trees had the potential to ever pose a threat to the power lines. Indeed, they do not. I believe that Dominion Power is over-stepping and misinterpreting the intent of this federal program. The intent of this law is to prevent a massive grid faiure. We need your help to maintain the environmental health of Hampton Roads.
