Demand the owner of Pet Stop surrender Frankie the monkey so he can move to a sanctuary, Now!

"Pet Stop AKA 'The indoor zoo store' in Shawnee Mission, Kansas has been holding a poor monkey named Frankie captive since 2013 at least. He is confined to this small cage and never leaves. He is not for sale and he is used to draw attention to their store, and merely used for entertainment. His cage is disgusting, wreaks of ammonia and the poor animal throws himself against the cage walls in protest, pining for freedom. It's painfully obvious to anyone who sees him that the animal is suffering a fate that none of us would ever want to endure ourselves.

The shop employees say he has aggressive behavior, but that is because he has been kept in this small cage away from his natural habitat for years. This is inhumane and unethical.

It's come to the attention of thousands of other people in the Kansas City metro area now via recent social media shares alone in the area that PET STOP has been holding Frankie captive. We are incredibly saddened and appalled by this store owner's lack of regard for this monkey and there are offers to help. We've already found a sanctuary where Frankie could go to finally live with some semblance of freedom and with enough signatures we may be able to encourage the owner to finally surrender him.

This isn't something that should happen anywhere, but it certainly shouldn't happen at a pet store in Shawnee Mission Kansas. Many have already messaged the Mayor and councilmen and women in hopes of drawing attention to Frankie's horrible conditions.
