Student dress code Springtown ISD

My daughter was pulled out of class today and told that her jeans were inappropriate because they had a hole. The hole was not see through in any way! The jeans were not trashy. They were nice jeans that she had worn many times. I spoke with Mr shaw on the phone explaining to him that I had a lot on my plate and I had my daughter send me a pic and her skin was NOT showing! He demanded that I either bring her more pants right this second or she would get iss.
I was there within 15 minutes.
During this time she was told that she was being counted absent. And that if I didn't hurry she was going to iss.
I do not have a issue with the dress code per say.. I do, however have an issue with the choice of action! There should be a warning to not wear the jeans anymore! If then it happens again maybe be punished. There are many kids who cannot afford new clothes so they may get holes in their pants.
The schools refuse to check heads now days for head lice in fear of the child who has it being bullied. Well in my eyes this is much worse!
Our children are there to learn! When they are pulling them from their education for things like this they are hurting them! I would like to see this part of the dress code completely deleted from Springtown isd!
This is insane!
