Reduce the speed limit outside St Marys RC School!

Since I have been off work and unable to drive I have had to walk my two daughters to school in a morning for 9.00am start and home again on them leaving school at 3.30pm. I have been shocked and dumbfounded at what I have witnessed on Sancton road in Market Weighton. I am extremely concerned about the speed of the traffic that is entering and leaving Market Weighton outside the primary school. Why is this not a 20mph zone during school drop off and pick up times?

I also believe, that with the footpaths being so narrow adjacent to the road, it is only a matter of time before there will be a fatality. The average speed of traffic outside the school and on the road adjacent to the footpath is a lot faster than the speed limit set at 30mph.
