Stop giving harsh sentencing state and federal!!

When people are incarcerated for long periods of time the effect that it has on both sides are hard to exccept the outcome. From experience and being around people. We lose a lot of time from our families and trying to mend those relationships are hard when families only think you were the same before you went to jail prison. My brother was killed over gambling. It was hard to forgive the person who did it but through time I forgave. It was hard because that was my brother but I know he would want are family to forgive. My family is mad at me because I talked at his parole hearing and said to him I forgive you because I have been on both sides and know that people in prison, jail are good people. I am not taking it lightly the crime but their children become angry adults. Some people can't forgive but it's not for them it's for who has to forgive. I believe we should start investigating why it happened and what can we do to help that person or family. If it was barriers as job family no family what can we do to change the world as a whole. Most crimes are due to property. If the government can change how much they give for human resources. The money we spend on sending someone to prison can go to help that person. Change child support laws federal and state laws. I am just one person but it only takes one person to start the cause.
