John Lewis spend Christmas advert budget on a low budget advert and charitable donation

Because £1 million pound budget for an advert is too much and not the right message to send at Christmas time.

At Christmas time a lot of people spend this time of year out in the cold or without people round them. If John Lewis became creative in a different way they could send a message of goodwill to the nation by using a low budget and perhaps incorporating the people they would help from a donation to a charity or charities.
