Kristen Salem was only 2 years only when Shawn Ryan Grell premedated his murder by taking Kristen Salem out to see christmas lights, took her to a target store to buy a gas can, took her to the gas station then out to the desert where he doused her with gas and set her on fire. He then drove up and down the street waiting for the flame to go out only to check to make sure she was dead. Shawn Ryan Grell was sentenced to death row by judge and by jury. On January 9, 2013 the Arizona Supreme Courts over turned that sentence and and decreased his sentence to life stating he is mentally retarted. If that was the case why wasn't that found both times he was sentenced.. They said it is haneous and cruel to sentence a mentally retarted person to death. But what about baby Kristen,she died in the most haneous and cruel way possible. This man is not metally retarted, he knew what he was doing and by the steps he took had it all planned out. Kristen Salem had her life cutt very short by the man she trusted. Kristen was never given that chance at LIFE , why should he? Please help in signing this petition in hopes that this life sentence will go back to the origanal sentence which should be DEATH ROW!
