Demand a Sexual Assault In-person Training on Minnesota State Universities Mankato Campus

  • ontvanger: We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to approve the in-person sexual assault training at the new student orientations.

We understand that sexual assault is an issue on college campuses, including ours. There are resources for victims once a sexual assault happens, but there needs to be a source of prevention on our campus. This means that something needs to be occurring to educate students and help stop sexual assaults before they are happening. Currently, all new students do an online sexual assault training and we believe that an in-person training that covers bystander intervention and self-defense will be more effective and capture people's attention.
