safety while crossing a busy intersection to get to work

There are no crossing lights to get to Kaiser Permanante clinic on Division and J street. when it is dark out people cannot see anyone crossing the street. There has been more than a few times when there was a pedestrian almost hit by a vehicle. There is a new light rail that also comes though on Division.
