He Trespassed Just to Pepper Spray Two Innocent Dogs for No Reason

Two dogs were safely enclosed in their own fenced yard in Des Moines, Iowa when a man walked onto the property uninvited and targeted them both with pepper spray. A witness saw the whole thing happen, and security cameras confirmed it. The footage shows no reason for what he did. The dogs never threatened him. He simply walked in and attacked them. There was no provocation, no danger, and no excuse.

Sign the petition urging the Polk County Attorney's Office to pursue a lifetime ban on animal ownership and mandatory mental health counseling in this case.

He now faces an animal abuse charge, but the deliberate nature of what happened here deserves real scrutiny. This wasn't a heated confrontation or an act of self-defense. He trespassed onto private property specifically to hurt two dogs who were doing nothing but existing safely in their own yard. Someone capable of planning and carrying out an unprovoked attack like this clearly isn't in a place to be trusted around animals, or anyone else's property, again.

A lifetime ban on owning or being near animals would ensure these dogs, and any future animal, never cross paths with him again. Mandatory mental health counseling addresses what may be driving this kind of behavior, offering a real path toward change instead of leaving the underlying problem to resurface later.

Sign the petition and demand the Polk County Attorney's Office pursue a lifetime ban and mandatory counseling in this case.
