IT SHOULD BE SAFE TO WALK TO SCHOOL

The children at HUNT ELEMENTARY safety is at concern. School is supposed to be a place children can feel safe, but their safety starts before they get to school.
The children who walk to school safety is compromised every day because we are allowing our children to cross the street alone to reach school. Date avenue has had several accidents during the past year mostly as a result of speed and unawareness of their surroundings.
I would like to see a crossing guard safely crossing our children to school. Our children are important and their future depends on us. Lets make going to school not only fun but foremost safe.
