National holiday to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE Day

On 8th May 1945, the War on the Western front was finally over. After so much loss it was a time for the nation to rejoice in peace.

On May 8th 2020, it will be 75 years later and we will remember those who fell and thank them for their bravery. The nation should and will fall silent before rejoicing.

Nazism was the embodiment of evil and separation, a national holiday will bring our communities together in these divided times and it is right that they should.
