Stop 30,60 day fingerprint holds

The State and Federal government in NYS has placed a law for those with any record including traffic to have a hold on their job until it is cleared. This has stopped many people of color from getting a job with the School District. They must find a better way of clearing people faster, as they are losing their jobs because the companies cannot hold their jobs for 30,60 days until their finger prints are cleared. This is an issue for the companies who are contracted by the schools, the schools who need workers that look like the children they serve, the employee and the community especially the children, who do not see anyone of color as a teacher only Janitors, Hall Monitors, Cafeteria staff and Security Guards. How are the kids suppose to feel they can be successful when they do not see anyone that looks like them in a successful teaching role? We need to make a change to have the timeframes lowered if the crime is not a felony and if it is not a crime of children, violence or guns.
